Support progress toward a clean grid in 2025!

Oregon’s future depends on a clean, resilient power grid – one that meets increasing demand, supports thriving local economies, and fosters resilient communities. The vision for a clean energy future is within reach. However, to realize the climate, job creation, and cost-saving benefits of a clean grid, we must tackle pressing barriers head-on.

Climate Solutions working alongside environmental justice, ratepayer, conservation, labor, and clean energy partners for two policies in the 2025 legislative session that will help bolster transmission capacity by modernizing and expanding grid infrastructure:

• Grid Enhancing Technologies (GETs) (HB 3336): Expands transmission capacity by requiring utilities to deploy cost-effective technologies to existing infrastructure. 
  
  

• Oregon Transmission Authority (HB 3628): Addresses permitting and investment gaps of transmission buildout by establishing a Transmission Authority to support innovative financing and coordinated planning.
